I have a 65 442 that is in pieces and I have no time for it or a garage or the cash to finish it. Its been 15 years in the making and its got to go. Its a rust free body without doors. I have the 400 that came with the car but had a 455 built up due to the 400 block being cracked in various places. The Jetaway has been rebuilt along with the switch pitch converter. I have since picked up a B block 400 to replace the 455 that has A heads on it. The frame is solid and its never been wrecked. It's been in dry storage since 2004 and I have a slew of extra parts. I do not have pictures and it would take a while to get pictures so if you are truly interested I will take them. I have a ton of cash wrapped up into it at this point which I know I will never see it all.
The odometer reads 91K. It was originally Burgandy Mist with red interior. Power sterring, power brakes, tinted windows I think are the only options.
I can post cowl tag information when I get home.
My bottom line is $8000 and that includes every last bit of 65 parts I have.

My Bad. The car is located in Romeo, Michigan. 40 miles or so north of Detroit.
Ralph, PM me a list and I'll see what I can come up with.

I am getting rid of a project that will not get done. As you get older (I'm 31) my priorities are getting re-organized. I have 2 65 442s and if I can sell this one (which I've had since I was 14) than I can keep the other one which would be a lot easier to make streetable and have more fun with. The intention on this one was to have a car like Jasen's; only mine was supposed to be a father/son project that didn't quite work out like it was supposed to. I'm in a position now where I don't have a garage to do it in, my finances are limited, my job is getting sent to India within the next year, and I've been paying to store it since 2004. It would make a great story one day on the Member's Rides page. I will eventually head up to where I have it stored and take a bunch of pictures of both of my cars and post them here. If I do end up selling both of them I will for sure buy another one once my situation improves. Right now I just don't have the time, the place, or the extra money.
Sorry for the long story, I tried to keep it short.

Please post the cowl tag info and is it a holiday or sports coupe?
Can you give us an idea of the extra parts that go with it the car from the; "every last bit of 65 parts I have" list.
Thanks, and sorry to hear about your situation. Hang in there.
PS. And like Bubbaz said, man I wish I was 31 one again. Being 50+ sucks. Takes longer to do everything these days.

I will post cowl tag info shortly. As far as the extra parts go I have the following; an extra set of buckets, fenders, hood, rusty doors, moldings, grilles, a/c system minus comp.,column, dash, door panels, auto consoles, 442 frame, 442 body with salvageable quarters, decklids, a rust free CA frame with the upper half of the front crossmember cut out to fit a 455 Buick (that's how I bought it), a SJ coded rear axle, a Jetaway trans, maybe a rusty core support, and a lot of small stuff. I parted three cars; two F85s and one 442. I had another F85 frame but I sold it on eBay for $1.25.
The 455 is rebuilt and painted (gold instead of bronze by mistake) and the trans and converter have been rebuillt.
