If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost to replate the rear tail panel? Did you have other pieces plated as well, what did they cost? Do you have pics of it before plating? Was there major pitting they had to fill and sand?
thanks eric

thanks eric I'd also like to know the costs as well. And can you tell me, it looks like there is a repair or a blemish on the left side of the rocket. Is there a dent there or a repair that is still visible or is it just a reflection?

I bought the panel + door + fromt hood + 1 piece of fender trim for $ 180 excellant driver quality . The panel had about 4to 6 pits on it + had a little dent in about the size of a quarter . The crome shop tried to pound it out with out damaging it. Yes there is a little imperfection where they smooth out the dent with lead . When they sand blast the ceter panels it washed out a little bit of the lead ( I can live with it looks great to me.) The cost was $650 the other things I had done was 2 sets of tail lights 3 peices of side trim ,remote mirror power antnna base and 4 peices of wheel well trim polished. The cost was $2350.( the original panel was pitted extremly bad)the highest quote was $2000 and it was custom crome in Elyria Oh. A&W quoted $1000 to $1500 but they really didn"t want to do it because they were afraid it was going to warp to bad during the polishing process.
