I have a question, I am about to take the body off of the frame and I need to take the front and rear glass out. Can any body tell me the right way of doing this.I have been told two different ways so far.

use piano wire and cut it out. One guy on the outside and the other on the inside, then saw it out. Or use a cold knife to cut them out.

Well i forgot one thing more important than the glass .The molding. Which is the safe way of taking that off and the side window molding also.I guess from bubbasz1 remark glass for these are easy to come by,and cheap.

Front and backs, use the tool to pop them off OR grab and pull. Odds are greater for bendage if you grab and pull. But thats what I always do. ;D
Side chrome is very delicate. Ive never done it, but Ive heard you have to tap on the edge of the chrome with a piece of wood, to peel it back. They are very thin and bend if you look at them wrong.

if you are talking about the drip rail i used a big paint stick, cut it into 4 to 6 inch lengths.and from the inside of the car you tap on the bottom of the drip rail and work your way along the edge little by little lightly tapping the bottom side of the drip rail......be patient so you don't damage it. This technique worked for me. TP

If you'de like to take the time to detail exactly how you got the side door and window chrome (aluminum) off, I would love to add it to my web page. Any and all documentation pictures would help.
Note: Mig wire also works for the windshield removal and is more redily available.

Dont worry about the windshield. Odds are its the original 45 year old glass. You wont believe the difference when you put in a brand new one, they are sooo clear.

RamZ has way too much money He even bought 45 year old air to put in his tires, so they would be just like original.

Ok BR[] this is my way of getting the aluminum trim off. I used a tool that is used for loosening radiator hoses. I locate were the clips are. You start on the bottom one of the vertical one, by working the tool you can get the clip to leave the aluminum piece by prying at that clip with pressure toward the back of the car you do the same thing with the second clip be cautious just get it past the second one than you will have to push downward than you just slide the trim part out .Now for the top piece. As in the pictures the clips is about 2 inch to 3 inch from the end take the same tool and pry down around this area once you get this out you pull upward to slid the clip off than you are done OH you have the other side

Maybe that's why that red car is so fast, it's got high octane air in the tires. ;D
