Nice pics Roger. I saw on your site a while back that you had a 65 442 sedan with a three speed on the tree. Or was it a 3 speed floor shift? One other guy that I know of owned a three on the tree 442. Was yours that way too?

Yes, I do still have a parts car 442 sedan that came from factory with 3 on the tree. It is a Lansing car that was being turned into a race car at one time. It was not a complete car so was used as parts car to complete another 442 post car that my friend owned. I still have the title but most of the body has been cut up. I plan to put the 442 frame under my blue cutlass post car when I restore it. The Ford 3 speed transmission went to Jack Perkins in New York. The steering column and linkage was gone when I got the car.

Roger - did you sell that red hardtop to a dude in Michigan? I sold the car to a guy in Haslett, MI. Then a guy in Phoenix had been emailing me about '65 442's and said my name was on the title of one he just bought from Michigan. So the guy in Haslett found another one he liked better or from a relative he had tried to buy from for many years.

My daughter still hates me for selling that car, she loved to drive it and helped me restore it when she was a teenager. I believe it had close to 170,000 miles on it when I sold it. Now it just sits in a garage with lots of other 442's.

Your picture reminded me of this one-it went away about 3 weeks ago! But to a good home, how many red 65 Olds convertibles do I really need? Owned this one twice already. ---bil
