I have two options for my car, One is the stock appearing set(15x8.5 rears, 15x6 fronts) or the Torque Thrusts(sorry it was on the hoist) Which do you prefer? Bud

I'm going to vote for the torque thrusts, but the dog dish look good also. Another Michigan native aye.

First of all, I like the dog dishes best, as I'm a little partial to the "stock" look, even tho' I have 15X7" 225s front & 275s on the back, but with dog dishes. I'm in the process of getting a set of 14" rims & the "wire" caps w/ the fake "knockoffs" because that was the way my original (NEW!) '65 442 was back then.

Why not both? Ive got three sets of wheels. Stock redlines/poverty caps, 15 inch steel wheels/radials/poverty caps, and Indy Drag Mags.

I prefer the sleeper look with the dog dish myself. Did you do anything to the suspension or is it sitting higher in the upper picture because of different tires?

Different control arms. but same springs. Airbags have about 7psi in them, doesnt raise the car, just controls it.

Well the one problem is the torque Thrusts have the wrong backspacing on the rear. They are for my Daughter's 84 hurst olds. I just wanted to see what they would look like on the 65. I could use the fronts with no problem, but would have to purchase new rear wheels. Here is my Daughter's car

I have the SSII and the knockoffs from the '65 wirecaps on Maxx Tugg. Easily adapted the knockoffs onto the SSII wheels and it makes a great looking set of wheels.

I bought a set of wheels, drove to Ohio to get em, and they didnt fit the rear.

4.5 - 4.75 backspacing is perfect. 275/60 is the size that I love on it.

Those dog dish caps look good to me. I've got a set, but was not going to use them. Based on how cool yours look, I'll have to rethink the plan. What type 15 inch wheel will the dog dish fit?
Like RAMZ said, have multiple styles and change them up for a new look.

GM 4 3/4 bolt pattern 15 inch wheels WITH the nubs for the dog dish caps. There are 15x7s and 15x6s. The 6s are on early to mid 80s cars. I got some off a 84 Parisenne. I used 7s in the rear off a mid 70s A body. I heard you can find 7 inchers on S-10s too.
