Seems like the excitement has went away. Not all of the '65 owners have been as deep into the cars as you and a few others have. Not to say they wouldn't like to be......maybe ...just maybe RAMZ you should pick a topic from your restoration site, bring it to this site and have some conversations go on......I'm sure you are a wealth of info and tips on how to do it right or at least make it look as original as possible. You are the leader in here.

I didnt start this site to stroke my ego and brag about my car. Its for all the guys that have 65s. No one seems to either start or reply to messages except for a few guys. No one needs to be shy, if we dont get to know one another, we never will.

I've been looking in and replying if I have something to help or comment on. But right now it’s so damn cold, working or freezing iron is the last thing on my mind. I've got the battery charger hooked up and the vert is cooling it's rubber in the icebox of a garage. What makes it even worse, on one of the last grass cutting days this fall I busted the glass on my walk in door to the garage with my weedwacker and never got around replacing it. With a door size hole in the garage, it's just as cold inside as it is outside. And in case you're wondering, my walk in door is a patio type door with a full length glass panel. I bought the house this way and never changed it. Now I'm regretting it.

RAMZ..........I have never considered someone to be stroking their EGO when they can offer good qualified information and some proven by experience , processes and tricks of the trade. That is what I and I'm sure others are here in this site are waiting for.........hopefully with the help of everyone we would be able to have a car specific site that HELPS......and so far "you" are the only one that can show specific documentation of a '65 442 being brought back to life......so that is why I consider you to be the leader .......so lead. question: what is the best way to remove and re-install the verticle rubber seal on the rear quarter window? I would rather see posts of this kind , rather than some of those that just deal with E-bay sitings.

Hey, I'm still here!(if that's worth anything). Mine's the same story as Big Mike, I haven't been able to do anything to my 442 because of the freezing cold weather.

Your right it's cold, right now I'm warming my fingers so I can go back out in the garage to work on my daily drivers, seems my daughters car needs some attention. Never stops, lets get this site going, you know we can discuss just about anything we want to. Just put it in the proper location. BTW, anybody have a 4WD 4r100, my son's F350 trans took a dump, I'm moving it out of the garage right now. Make room for a another POS. :}

...& I'm just waiting to move mine from the shop I've had it in into my garage. It's been so cold but no rain, so the salt is still on the roads & I REFUSE to move it 'till it rains (finally started this morning & is supposed to last thru Tue). So Thu/Fri I'll finally go get ti & start on some of the "detailing".. In other words, the things I've been asking about!

I have been slacking also. Too much time spent on my '27 Roadster junker. Plus, I'm constantly occupying my mind with thoughts of getting a new garage. Boy I hope I can do that!
Oh yeah, I still think '65 442's are at the top!

I've been away for a couple of reasons.
1 - I have the battery drain issue described in the tech session. Having this issue after nearly completing my interior resto (just new door panels to install) completely frustrated me. Add a super cold January to the mix and I was done playing. I still don't know what is causing my problem, and I refuse to troubleshoot electrical issues in the freezing cold.
2 - I turned my energy to installing all new moldings in our home, and preparing to paint as well.
I do check in for interesting stuff, but I too have noticed not much action.

I have been working on my car. I almost have a rolling chassis. Hopefully I can set the engine and transmission on to the frame in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, I have been working 7 days a week 10-14 hour days, trying to get the cars done for the Detroit autoshow. now I am off all the overtime(40hours) and have time but no money.. way of life eh? when the weather breaks, I will get back into the garage to work on my stuff. Just hate firing up the heater and getting everything all moist, so rust can start. lol I still enjoy this site and will stop by more.
