Why Oh why would anyone want to build a CLONE? You probably orderd that extenz from the TV commercials too. Be what you are, cause when it comes right down to it, you're only bull shittin' the dummies that don't know any better.

Nice car to what? Drive! That v 6 offers tons of power, probably get damn near 20MPG. Whoo doggie! Now if that was one of the original plain Jane 442's we'd be talkin, the kid would have that in his gerage already.

I had a car that looked similar to that when I bought it a few years back. I re-created (ha-ha) a 442 with it (minus the 400 and frame)!! It did however turn into a bad a$$ street machine with new paint, a new interior, and the addition of body side moldings. I hear it's gotta 425 in it now and will scare the panties off your wife when she rides in the passenger seat!!
PS There's nothing wrong with a 'clone, tribute' re-creation' or whatever you want to call it as long as you're not trying to pass it off as one. When I sold mine it was an F-85 with 442 side scoops and emblems.

That's neat, that's the first 442 Club Coupe I've seen except in the 65 dealer book. What, there's someting like just over 1,000 made. That would be listed as "Ultra Rare" on eBay . . . . hehehehehe

Not too many of those left, they were all made into drag cars in 65, just a few lone survivors.

They made 1,000 of them and Ive seen 3 in the last 5 years. They just aint around anymore. And dont remind me of the blue one in Youngstown. ;D A guy in Indiana just bought one out of San Diego. He sent me some pics of it but they are too small. No outside chrome, padded dash, carpet, 4 speed, radio, backups and the 442 package. Counting this one, the one above , and the youngstown car thats all I know of.

Plus MY buddy up north, Hey I have a part of history in my garage, the front half of my frame is off his car. And it was a drag car that's getting converted back to a street car.

I Do! Yes, I'm the one who has it. So if anyone wants to wrestle with manual steering, let me know.
