Don't know if anyone knows or not, seems I have to run a bit advanced on timing to keep it from popping through front and rear carbs, does that sound normal it seems to run fine

Update, got the cross overs open (had to break the flaps off) thats ok I'm going to leave them open anyway, didn't want to run it with them shut.Good thing I opened them it was a mess in there rust and crap, got them all cleaned out and lucky for me nothing rotted through still lots of iron left.

Its not that I don't know how to set up the carbs, its I don't know what to do with the cross overs because there frozen on with age or rust. I don't want to beat on them to hard and brake them i've tried heat and fluids ,that being said I'm thinking of leaving them closed because I'm assuming that that cast iron manifold is going to get hot and operate the choke,I don't know but I'm thinking thats all that is really affecting.I've also looked at a lot of them on line and its 50/50 on open and closed

Ok not to drag on this tripower but,how important is it that the cross over ports are open mine are stuck shut and can't move them ,so I would just assume leave them shut I'm in CA so I doesn't get that cold what do you think
