Hey Guys, I just wanted to show you what will be coming off the machine in about two weeks. I'm still working out some manufacturing issues on the back panel, but I am making progress.

So when are you making the manly style, you know for MANual transmissions. I think the back panel is whats going to sell the most. Thats the hardest to find and its a big part of the outside trim. Everyone wants a nice rear panel. And by the way, nice work!

Thanks for the encouragement! I plan on building the top for the 4 speed, ..... This would make BRO happy! :-) unfortunately I ended up with and auto Probably should get some more scoops in the works too if there are guys who need them. When I get some machining done on the back panel, you will be the first to see it. Scotty, I have 6 more pairs of center bars that will go to chrome in the next week or two, three are already spoken for.

Here is a pic of my progress on the console top. It looks like I'll be able to get three parts from the material I purchased. I'm going in tomorrow to build the 2nd op fixture and finish the back sides. And then....... TAIL PANEL TIME!!! Next Saturday I'm going to Seattle to check out a chrome shop and get everything sent off to be plated. The company that is doing the work was featured in a recent Good Guys publication.

OK Guys, I was almost able to get the console tops finished this weekend. Below are two pics of one of the parts. Allow me to draw on the wealth of knowledge on this forum... Can someone tell me if the ribbed area is painted black or silver or not painted? If it is painted, is the paint wiped off the tops of the ridges so the chrome shows? Also, are the flat and angled areas around the outside highly polished or do they have a brushed appearance? Thanks in advance for your input.

If they are like the 4 speed consoles they get painted silver, that is too nice for you automatic guys.
