This frame came off a Cutlass, but has pn 9780503 clearly stamped on it. The interesting thing is that the trans mount holes were punched on the right side, but not the left. Hmmm....
Picture time >>>>Please>>> of the holes of course

The number three body mount for my hardtop 442 frame is different than the picture on Bro's site. Bro's picture shows a welded on pad for the number 3 location. My 442 frame has the number 3 mount stamped into the frame rail. I wonder how many vendors produced the frames. I'll upload a picture. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu154/Alan442_2009/Framemount3photo1.jpg

Oooopsie... Here's a shot of the right rail, and a cool '70's drag car my neighbor just picked up!

Yup, the outer rail is thin in spots...but gots a coupe frame that's rotten everywhere else, for parts. Wagon is very cool (and no rust!) I'd guess it was raced in the sixties and early seventies, then socked away. I'll have to see if my neighbor knows the history. They've got some old NoCars,er ...MoPars over there, too!

Mine doesn't have the holes for the trans mount but everything else looks the same, I wonder if it is a manufacture deal or if they just took a hardtop frame and made it a vert frame??!!

only one rail was punched, so my guess is that it was random. Probably grabbed whatever was available.

The old gm habit, use what you have if it works. Weld them closed and grind them down and they will match the other side.
