am needing to up the compression on a 75 350 stock rebuild and have on hand a set of # 2 heads that if my math is correct would put me at 9.4 comp, I know that I need to widen the push rod holes 6 degress, is this a good move ?

The compression ratio sounds about right. Those heads don't have the shaft rockers right? I have never seen anyone use 45* heads on a 39* sbo, but I'm sure its the same as a bbo. You shouldn't need to elongate the holes, just have them enlarged I believe.
