I've had a question for some time now and was recently asked and could not give a definitive answer.
I've seen the entire inside painted before and I've also seen just the flat part that gently bends down to the stainless insert painted. Which is correct, what is the proper area to paint on side scoops?

the center is painted body color + the insert

This is correct. I dont like the look of it so I just painted the flat part.

I agree with Z and only painted the centers on mine, but the 2 above ( if you would have checked my site Mike ) are correct.

the center is painted body color + the insert The insert is always flat black inside the lip.
