I have tried some bronze paint from Brothers Automotive out of Kansas, and have also tried to find the paint that BRO recommended on his website with no luck. What is the best match that is AVAILABLE to use for my engine?

You MAY have to do what I'm forced to do 'cause paint won't ship to Europe due to safety regs. If you still have some part of the engine or (original) valve covers with original paint on them, scrape off some (a little more than "a little") & take it to a paint shop. They should be able to get it analyzed & duplicated. Costs a bit more, but then you have the real thing! Ralph

I recommended a Rustoleum high heat spray paint in an earlier posting-sorry I don't know how to link back to it-and never really got any feedback but I think it is as close as any thing else I've seen. It is only about six bucks a can at Home Depot. Maybe one of these other guys knows how to link back to that posting-couple of months ago. I went through the same problem and then ran across this paint by accident in the Home Depot store one day. Took a can home to test against a clean valve cover off one of my engines and it looked great.

Rustoleum Aged COPPER Use a high heat primer, you shouldn't have any problems with any paint. CORRECTION: I HAD AGED BRONZE, BUT IT IS AGED COPPER
