I have a set of heads on Ebay and a few people have been asking if they've ever had machine work. Is there a way to tell or anything to look for? I looked and didn't see any tell-tale signs but maybe theres another way to check? Any help would be super cool.
Thanks, Nick

If you have a pair of calipers, measure either corner of the head on the exhaust side, from the deck surface to the top of the outside corner head bolt boss. This measurement on an uncut head will be around 2.020?(give or take). This is per the Dick Miller book, but my heads are milled quite a bit, and they meausre damn close to 2.020", so that give or take must be a fairly decent tolerance.
Also, if they have been decked, there is a good chance the casting numbers on the bottom of head by the pushrod holes have been cut into or are gone.
I typoed... Its 2.200"-2.220".
