The one photo where the guys are putting the engine in shows the upper control arms and the spindle and stuff are natural steel color but the pic below shows them painted black both look to be pontiacs just thought that was interesting. thanks for the pics

GM sprayed the suspension with a tar like black paint. Notice the A arms and the brake like next to it are black. This is how Lansing did the blackout process. The way guys do restos today, where everything is detailed is technically wrong. GM never did it that way. GM built them fast then painted everything black to prevent rust.
