What is your favorite aesthetic design feature of the 65, and least favorite ?
Favorite - The concave stamping that runs the side of the body, and increases in size in the trunk area. The angled wheel wells is a close second.
Least Favorite - Dash Design (Straight speedometer).
You can tell it's a slow day at work.

Slow day for me too..... Thing I like the most, not every Tom, Dick or Harry have one. Thing I like the least, availability of parts.

Front grill assembly, the fact it is an A-body, basically the entire car's shape as a whole. Least favorite: the side scoops!

Love : Roof line, side scoops, tail lights/rear panel
All the pot metal is a drag. Its heavy and costs a ton to fix. Tach location sucks. I could also do without the hood spear. Olds got it right in 66.

I also like the The concave stamping. The tail panel. Personally I like the straight dash cause it was easy to convert to a hotrod style dash.
I don't care for all the side trim. I don't like the front grill looks to much like an impala. The trunk also for some reason appears to be about a foot longer than other A bodies of the same age. Other than that it's bad to the bone.

Love the body style, always have, always will.......................
I also hate the pot metal trim .......... cars have been using stainless since the twentys and it still looks good. Wonder why the Cutlass had stainless in 64 and again in 66 and they decided to screw with the only year I like...... WTF?

I like the straight body lines. I am not a big fan of the '70s 442 with the rounded puffed out fenders.
I do not like the sheet metal around the windshield and backglass. It is a very poor design (probably not oldsmobile's fault since it is shared between GM cars) but, it catches the water and because of the molding it is trapped and it sits there rusting. If it was designed better I probably would not have any rust on my car.

Your wishing she's horny, she's just out for a troll. Only problem I see is that one of these days your computer is going to figure out how to make her real and she's going to bitch slap you for having her constantly walking, her feet hurt and her panties are riding up her crack and she can't fix them. As for the 65 Post, old time pure muscle street ride. They are not a GTO, or a Chevelle, most people don't know what they are if they don't see the 442 badges. They have an excellent torque curve, and have to be one of the best looking designs that GM had in the model year of 1965, and sorta 1964. Plus they weren't mass produced like the GTO and chevelle.

Most Favorite: Upper concave body lines give it way more character than any other 64/65 A-Body – Taillights and tail panel are sweet – Bumpers are shaped well – The way the front of the car is shaped with the headlight areas sloping back and then the point in the center.
Least Favorite: Rectangle speedometer sucks hard – side scoops are dumb and look out of place like they were slapped on as an after thought – mirror is ugly compared to the GTO’s round mirror of the same vintage – How far the headlights stick out past the grill – Wire wheel hubcaps with spinners are lame – How long the trunk looks compared to the other A-Bodies / How far the body comes up on the frame revealing the exhaust pipes from the rear wheels back – How narrow the rear wheel houses are.
Hhmmm… My list of dislikes are more than my list of likes… haha That is odd. I think a 64 front end on a 65 is the ultimate car… but only if it has an OLDS motor in it.

Like many of you I love the 65's overall styling, the concave body line, and ALL the chrome. I care that the chrome is pot metal and like BRO I would rather it be stainless, but I just love a car with chrome. I'm almost at the point where there couldn't be too much chrome on a car, almost. That's one of the reasons I'm also a 58 fan. But to me, the entire 65 GM lineup looks fantastic and my favorite by far. Least favorite aspect of the 65's would have to be the instrument panel and gauges. It could be so much better especially compared to the GTO's as an example. I've often thought about putting a GTO's dash in a 442 and get some custom made decals and emblems to make it look factory stock. Could you imagine a 442 with a dash like this: I think that would be sweet!

I was never a 65 owner until 1995, before that I owned nothing but 66's and 67's because that was the style I grew up with and my parents had one. But the 65 was really a refreshing change for me and one of great joy to restore one. I really came to appreciate the looks / styling.

I always thought that the 442 needed hood scoops or somthing to set it aside from the plain drivers. This isn't a bad look if they had taken the time to do it right.

i always wondered what 70 w-30 style oai scoops would look like on a 65 and now i kind of have an idea... i like it. A LOT!
i need some clearance and the last thing i want to do is get a cowl hood, but thats about all there is... dont get me wrong, a cowl hood doesn't look bad, but it already gets mistaken for a chevelle way too much. i think a 65 with oai scoops would be bad ass. someone photo-chop it.
