When my hood is closed, it remians a bit high where the hinge is (passenger side). If I push down it goes down, but once the hood is opened and closed again, it remains high again.
I tried adjusting the height of the bracket, but it is down as far as it can go. Do the hinges go bad, or is there some other way to fix this?

Two ways to help it. One is to place shims between the hood and the hinge. Sounds like it would make it worse but it doesnt. Next loosen the hinge to fender bolts, not all the way but just enough to allow movement. Then push up on the front of the hood. Tighten bolts and shut hood. I had to do both steps and now my hood shuts flush with the cowl.

RAMZ thanks for the tips I'll try them out.
One more question. When I loosen one of the Hood bolts (one closest to front of hood), it appears the nut on the inside of the hood is turning. I'm sure the nut is supposed to be welded to the hood, but what do you do if the nut has come loose?
