I’m looking for some stock. Tall valve covers for a stock 400 with roller rockers. Do they make stock tall valve covers or do I need to get a spacer? I really don’t want a spacer. Let me know what’s available. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Depending upon rocker they will fit under stock covers if you remove the baffles (grind off spot welds) which is what my engine builder did on my 455. Guess they make grommets with a built in baffle, I have yet to get them but ran on a dyno.
I am still debating about getting spacers.
Regards, Jim

There are no "stock" tall valve covers. The late 70s to 1990 covers are even lower than the 64-76 covers. Any spacers or taller covers MAY conflict with accessory brackets.

Your original question was for "stock" valve covers, not "stock-looking aftermarket valve covers". The original response would have been different if the question was different.

Let me know what’s available. Thanks in advance. I use stock valve covers without notches for AC or PB for years with Harland Sharp rockers in various set ups 1. take out the baffles 2. use extra thick valve covers in one engine where i have high oil pressure when the car is cold (70 - 80 psi) the valve covers tend to leak, but not badly. never had any other issues they even fit under power brakes AC I do not know cause none of my cars has it on Ebay you may find decent ones without notches
