Fancy looking thing isn't it. Well if you let me engineer over it for a week or so I would appreciate it. I know I said a couple of days but that looks like I might need to sleep on it for a day or two. (And Bro/ Ramz, that doesn't mean I'm going to put it under my pillow) I would've guessed it would go in your top dresser drawer right next to your communion money!! Sad to say if that happened Mike would never get his thingy back, and we don't want that now do we.

That looks like the piece that would fit into the decklid? I can see if there is one on the hoop-D I just bought. I'll post back tomorrow.

Fancy looking thing isn't it. Well if you let me engineer over it for a week or so I would appreciate it. Sure, I could do that for the benefit for all. Just be good to my little baby, it will go on my 442 someday! ;D Let me know where to send it and I will include Ralph's steering wheel while I'm at it.

Jeff,
I finally took the vacuum trunk release from my parts cutlass. I plan to put the release in my Verte. I have the fancy linkage part in the picture. Are you still looking for the part to see if you can fabricate. I would need the original back for my car.
Thanks, Bob

Thanks, Bob I did send mine to Jeff so he could see about making a prototype repro. It appears to be a little more difficult than the battery top holders so Jeff needs a little more time. He's going to try and work on one very soon, after hunting season. ;D ;D

Let me know where to send it and I will include Ralph's steering wheel while I'm at it. ;)Ain't done it yet? Pls do that! By the way- just got thru replacing the carb that was on mine. Previous owner had ground off the nut on the screw-in "stopper" on the front of the carb (on the inlet side just "behind" the filter). The idiot cut it off caused a leak, so he just slapped some Gunk over it to temp seal it! Needless to say, it cracked & started leaking again. So, know a guy had a Edelbrock Performer 750 he'd used only for about 300 mi. Put that on, then re-ran the rt front brake line- they'd run it about 1/8" fron the header! Anyway, it's back together, went for a test run- YES!!! Everything's cool! Love it when a plan works! Sometimes even an old fart like me remembers things he did 30+ years ago! Ralph
