Man, that is one rusty Mutha! So tell me, did you pick it up for the asking price, or close to it? I don't think it's worth restoring, for me, it's way past done. My Cutlass vert is rusty as hell, but not THAT rusty, geeze. It is the first F-85 Deluxe vert I've seen.
It's looks like a ton of extra parts, are all those pics new/different pics? If they are you have multiples of everything.
Looking at these pics I have a question from the brain trust. It the location of the power window switch the correct factory location for the rear, on the arm rest?

Big Mike: Not sure on the power window switch location.
Jasen: It has bucket seat brackets on the floor so I think it might have originally been a bucket seat column shift car. G code on Bro's website is for buckets, shifter, and console. I'll look tomorrow but it didn't look like the shifter hole had been welded closed.
The dash is crack free and still soft. I know its pretty rusted but with all of the flood stuff already there you guys don't think someone might want to restore it? The guy I got it from said it had a V6 in it originally. The 330 is just sitting there but it is a 65 engine.

Battery box is on the passenger side, V6 cars had it there. I didnt think they made V6 verts, cant be that many around. Looks to be a rare car Nick.

It does have some interesting options, that's for sure, but that A-pillar rust is tough That G isn't for the console like Jasen said, it's in the wrong line and when that's there it's for the auto hole in the floor, which this doesn't and it's a column shift so it shouldn't. Why do you think the floor blue like a Sterling Mist car? Check under that aftermarket sport mirror and see if you can tell if it had the remote mirror that the data tag says it does. I looked at the door panel area and I couldn't tell by the picture. I'd have to pull off my door panel to see if the two look the same. However, seeing that rear power window switch location, I'm second guessing the options on my car as being added on, not factory. How is the rust in the cowl area up at the windshield and at the dash? It's certainly an intriguing car, but I'm still in the way too rust camp to restore.

Just checked out the VIN and the 3rd digit is an 8 which means it came with a V8. It does have a 65 330 in it but I don't know if its original. Anyway to check? It should have the VIN stamped into the front pass. side head? It did have the remote mirror option. I have the driver's door panel with the remote part still attached. The mirrors that are on it are not factory but they are very cool sport mirrors. The glass doesn't move the hole mirror does. The floor was painted blue for some reason or another. The black stuff on the trunk floor is tar over sheet metal over the rotted trunk floor. It does have the floor brackets for buckets as well. Original color was target red with white top and black interior.

And I don't think the heads will have a VIN derivitive on them, just an engibe code - right BRO/Jasen? Decisions, decisions?

Head will have a code thats on the Protecto Plate. If you dont have the plate you cant tell if its the OE engine.
I am trying to find if a V6 was available or if a F85 Deluxe was offered in a convertible. Its odd that all the signs of a V6 being in there once and the dash emblem being F85. Someone must have swapped all that stuff, but why?

The 3rd digit of the VIN is an 8. Not sure why the stuff is different.

Its a tough decision because I have suitable replacements for the quarters, wheel housings and whatever else is needed to repair the rust and rot. I have a hardtop body for the donor parts with a rotted roof and crappy floors. If I do decide to part it I have wait until the Boss Stang is done. That currently takes priority over parting this one out.

Well before you make your decision take a look at the frame, all the extra stuff makes no difference in a rebuild if the frame is crap.

You would be crazzzzy to fix this one Nick. Even if all of the parts are there and available? You guys need to talk to my dad about rust repair. He just finished welding back together a 70 Chevelle. The firewall and roof from one car (with the floors and quarters gone) and the rest from another car (interior fire warped the roof and firewall).
