This is a repeat post of one I mistakenly put in the 64 Tech section. I wanted to make sure you 65 guys didn't miss it in case you had some info. Does anyone have pictures of the radiator seals installed? Reviewing images in the factory assembly manual, and the pictures of the kit sold by Fusick ( www.fusickautomotiveproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RCD7 ) and others, the kit doesn't look like it matches with the factory install. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

These two photos show how they are installed on my vert which i assume are the originals. I see the difference between mine and Rip Olds. I assume the difference is because mine is a Non AC car and his is an AC car with a shroud. Hope these help some.On further inspection of the Previous post, the side pieces are the same I just don't have the pieces that are installed across the top of the radiator.

So now go back and look at the image of the "kit" that is on Fusick's (and everybody else's) website (click on the link in my original post). The side pieces in Dads442 and RIP Olds look like they're covered in the kit. The top piece shown in RIP Olds pictures match what I see in the Assembly Manual (neither of you have the bottom piece that is illustrated in the Assembly Manual), but the kit that the supply companies show have two pieces that don't seem to match anything. Obviously RIP Olds got that top deflector from somewhere, and no telling where to find the bottom deflector.
I actually had one of these sets several years back, and couldn't figure out what to do with those two "misfit" pieces. I'm looking to improve airflow through the radiator at highway speeds, which is what I think the original intent was by the factory for these pieces. Now that I've misplaced the kit I purchased originally, I don't want to buy another if it's not going to provide what I need. Maybe I'll need to fab something.

Mine is the way it was when I bought it from the original owner, I know he had some work done on the engine before we got it so who knows what was there originally...the seals on ours are obviously old and should be replaced, when the radiator was in they really didn't seal very well, been doing a front seal and water pump, since ours is stock will most likely put back the rubber seals to keep it original... looked at your original post and I wonder if those two short pieces are meant to fit either side of the top radiator support?... sure don't look like the piece RIPOLDS has... After looking at your pictures, your application doesn't appear to be stock, I wonder if maybe a shroud on the back and some sort of sheet metal seals around the front in place of the rubber might work better?, sort of a front shroud if you will, to force air thru the radiator...Just a thought...

I've been considering the same thing. Don't want to over engineer something, but want an effective solution. Maybe I just stop fiddling around, buy the rubber seal kit (since I can't find the one I bought years ago), install it and see what difference it makes. Then if it isn't good enough, fabricate something out of sheet aluminum.
