ANYBODY HAVE ONE OF THOSE "JUNKY" SIMULATED WOOD STEERING WHEELS THEY WANT TO DISPOSE OF? I'LL HELP YOU OUT....... Not that I know of because I would have bought it already! I've been looking for one for years ever since I saw one in a 65 like mine at a car show. I even went as far as to bid on a car on eBay that had one just to get the steering wheel. And as it turned out I was bidding against another member of the forum that ended up with it. Can't remember who that was, but I believe they wanted the car for the steering wheel as well along with some of the other options the car had.

It's the Good book although non of us are good so that really has nothing to do with this group.

Big Mike,
Yes I ended up with the car with the simulated wood wheel. I bought the car in September 08 of ebay and that is when I joined the forum. At the time I did not know I was bidding against a fellow member. I found out shortly after the sale that you were one of the bidders.
I just pulled the car out of storage last week and brought it to my garage. I plan to remove the wheel and some options before the winter. The wheel is in excellent shape, no cracks and is black. My interior is fawn so I will need to paint the wheel.
The car is a cutlass coupe with 66,000 miles. It has PS, PB, PW, P antenna, power seat, remote mirror, vacuum trunk release, wood wheel, 308 posi, floor shift with tac, good 2 speed shifter, brake light, original radio with rear speaker, tinted win shield, and it has the code for rear defroster but I don't see it. you would have thought this one would have air but it doesn't. I'll post a picture of the data plate soon along with a picture of the wheel.
The quarters have been repaired poorly, the interior is messy, one fender is rusted through but it has very good dash and pad, the frame looks good, the hood and doors are nice. So it looks like this will be a donor car for my 2 442's. I was going to take the options and put the car back up for sale but it seems I can use more of the parts than I originally thought and I'll sell the rest.
Thanks, Bob

Nope, that's not a pie pan, it's a decal. A nice looking stick on decal, but a decal nonetheless. I saw that listed about a year or so ago and jumped on it without asking any questions and was a bit disappointed when it arrived. It would be good in a pinch, but not what I'm looking for, I want the real thing. Maybe we can get Fusick to sell me a one-off from the manufacturer they use to make the others. But thanks for finding it anyway.
