Seems lately when a take a ride maybe 20 miles or so,and shut off motor I have trouble starting, meaning engine won't turn over like the batteries low or the starter is getting hot.Battery is 4 years old and has 800 cold cranking amps and seams to check out ok and alt seams to be charging so that being said could it be starter is getting hot (don't have headers)never had this issue before what do you think

Could be starter but I would check several things first. Have the battery tested. Most of us don't drive our cars long enough to put a charge back into the battery and so it could go dead or need replacing. You could also check timing but if this problem just started I doubt that is the problem.
I had to replace my battery that was about 3 years old. I also removed the quick disconnect that over time was not providing a good connection.

starter is going..........have someone watch the battery lead to the starter and see if it jumps when you hit the key to start it. I've seen them jump like a snake when they are drawing heavy amperage.

Sounds like the typical GM hot start problem. The Delco solenoid on the starter is very voltage sensitive, and the GM starter circuit is, well, circuitous. There are lots of opportunities for voltage drop, which is what causes the problem. This is compounded by the fact that the contacts and disk in the solenoid get rough and pitted from use, which further increases the resistance. The right thing to do is to check voltage at the "S" terminal on the solenoid while cranking. This is unfortunately difficult to do on an Olds motor, but is the first diagnostic test you should run.
