Here is a new question that sort of is a continuation of the previous one regarding painting the underside of the chassis...I have started removing the rusty trunk floor (just have the center flat portion between the gas tank braces out, will need to replace driver's side and part of the passenger side when all is said and done, before I go any further with that I was wondering if it is safe and would make sense to put the car on a rotisserie at this point(just gutted body shell), to finish the trunk pan repair and paint...reaching the rear of the trunk pan is a stretch for me, seems like this approach would make things a lot easier assuming it would be safe, I was able to find an affordable rotisserie...cheaper than a new back...anyway any response from the more experienced would be greatly appreciated...
thanks,

I welded in some temporary braces from the rear of the trunk to the hinge pockets, ant some 1x1 braces on the door areas. my trunk was all cut out and the tail panel was loose at the welds, I worried a little till I got it on the rotisserie.

Thanks for the response...
My doors are still attached...was thinking to keep them attached for strength...unless others think this would be to heavy...would add some ratchet straps around them or on the inside of the car to keep doors from possible opening due to any body flex...all else is removed...trunk lid and front and rear glass etc. car is solid everywhere else...anyone else do this where on the doors did you add your braces?...door hing to???
thanks

I went from door hinges to the striker bolt. vee shaped. bolted a plate to each hinge area and one to the striker bolt then welded 1x1 square tube to them.you are probably fine with the doors on as long as you don't want to work inside of it.

don't have a welder yet and don't know anyone with one that I could borrow from so may just see if I can find some used adjustable ones...Amazon has some that arn't too expensive...probably is better to go that way then leave the doors on...don't know of anything right now that would cause me to need access to the interior but as soon as I say that one of the those "might as well" projects will come along....
