I took off my steering wheel to fix turn signal lever screw, it was stripped out. That being said i installed the steering wheel and it has a large gap of 1/8-3/16 to the cancel cam cover. Whats your guys gap and/or what did i do wrong, it just dosent look correct.

The distance from the edge of the cancel cam cover to the tip of the steering shaft should be 1-3/4 inches. This should leave the proper gap when the wheel is installed (for non-tilt column).
