Yes, a west coast car (Northern California). Original female owner had it until about 2000 (1965-2000). Second owner bought and took it to Washington State (2000-2009). Third Owner took back to Northern California (2009-2012). I bought it in 2012. Rust free car to include floors and trunk pan. Was going to convert to a 4-speed, but now thinking about just going with auto on the floor. Or, maybe sell it and move onto another one.

Overall car is very nice...far from perfect, but respectable. Had the crankshaft drilled at rebuild just in case I, or someone else wanted to go with the 4-speed conversion. Most of the fun is the hunt for these cars, so looking for my next project. I'll probably try selling this one. Hope to find a nice original rust free sport coupe next.

When I got the car it had 5-red-lines with it...not sure if original or repros.

Was it common to have a colum shift 442? Or is it incorrect just wondering

Seems fairly common from what I've seen, doubt it's incorrect.

They were common, but not desirable to the younger owners.

Sport coupe meaning a post car?

The fun of the hunt has begun...if anyone has or knows of one laying around let me know (see my post in the wanted section).
Really would like to track down a two-tone blue 442 I sold a few years back to a guy in Nebraska. Or a Laurel Mist one that was in NC a couple years ago.
