Please tell me who sells the best body mount bushing kits for the 65 442. I need a part number for the correct 400 engine mounts too. Thank you in advance.

Most accurate are Fusick, 68-72 mounts. You'll need to shave down the mounts under the doors. The hole in the 65 frame is smaller than the 68 on up. So that mount wont fit without clearance it. Other than that they are exact. Their 65 mounts however are not. Avoid those.

I want to say I got them from Fusick too. But I believe NAPA can get them.

You can pay big bucks for motor mounts from Fusick, NAPA, etc, or you can get the same Anchor 2261 mounts from RockAuto for about $7 each. Fusick and others simply repackage those chinesium mounts. Your money, your choice.

I did a search for a rant I made awhile back on the cheap engine mounts sold at Autozone, O`reilly, bumper to bumper and the like. Couldn`t locate it. To make a long story short, After searching the contents of all the boxes of mounts at all the local stores mentioned above, I finally found 2 mounts that actually fit correctly !! And NOT at the same store. One at CarQuest, one at O`reilly. The clerk at autozone(a refuge from Mcdonalds I think)told me you most times have to ream the holes to match.
I usually try and shy away from discussions that expressly ask for experienced participants.
Buy cheap, get cheap. Sometimes the reject parts DO GO SOMEWHERE

Sometimes the reject parts DO GO SOMEWHERE Again, EVERYONE sells the Chinesium parts that fit like crap. Pay big bucks at Fusick and you will get a box that is stamped "2261". Same for NAPA. Yes, the Anchor/Pioneer parts are not perfect. I've had to elongate the mounting holes once or twice. For $7 (or less, sometimes) instead of $35, I can live with that. Frankly, I'd rather put the dollars into something that matters, like a cam. Supercars supposedly sells a higher quality mount, but I have no firsthand experience with them. Again, your money, your call. Personally, I'm cheap.

I`m a firm believer that everyone is entitled to there opinion. Seems to me it`s a sad day when we as a society have been conditioned to accept inferior products and qualify our reasoning thru $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
When I buy a direct replacement product, I expect just that, nothing more, nothing less.

The point is not about accepting an inferior product. It's paying $35 to Fusick for EXACTLY THE SAME inferior Chinesium part you can get from RockAuto for $7. It even comes in the same box. As I pointed out way back in my first post, Supercars sells mounts that are not Anchor/Pioneer. I have not first-hand experience with those. I do know firsthand that the Fusick parts are Anchor. This is also about picking your battles. As I noted above, there's absolutely no difference in outside appearance or performance of my car if I use the $7 part vs the $35 (or more) part. Personally I'd rather spend my money on something that matters. You may elect to spend your money differently. I'm merely suggesting that one should make an informed decision.

I purchased mine from Dick Miller Racing, less than Fusic, more than Rock Auto, I bought mine 10 years ago and were American made, now ??, but one of the better places to spend your money, that and Rocket Racing. I try not to by foreign made product although that is almost impossible, but when you make American made for a living you try to buy American made.

Supercars set was almost perfect as I recall. Came with some extra pieces but put them on mine and don't recall any issues. There's a post somewhere in here from when I did it. I've bought a lot from Greg. Great guy.

Can ANYONE here read and comprehend past there ass what I`m saying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is your ego so large your eyelids are swollen shut to the print on a page ?? My point is, as consumers, we can demand quality parts by NOT purchasing crap, cheap priced, reject parts. Anchor is capable, and do make the parts correctly, but they ship and package the rejects also. I did find anchor mounts that fit correctly after forcing different parts stores to open boxes till I found mounts to fit. If we as customers force the parts stores to do this, word will get back to the supply houses and the reject parts will disappear. Can I say this any clearer. Rather than spend your time reaming out holes, spend it at the parts counter opening boxes. If they don`t have them in stock tell them to get more in, they advertised them for sale, it`s up to them to get them
Why is it O.K. all of a sudden to "settle" And mounts in my mind "matter" actually they "matter" a lot

Agree 100%, if it's not correct take it back, don't settle for inferior parts.

Well not sure what I said to require that rant but I stick by what I said relative to supercars. They do have superior parts and I've never had a problem in 13 years of restoring vehicles and buying parts. Nothing to do with ego, just the facts.

Might as well, I guess. Was nothing you said. Fact is, if supercars sells you good stuff, stick with them
