How do you prime a fresh rebuild with oil if you don't have a dummy distributor? Does the drill go clockwise or counter clockwise? also what brand of oil filters are you fellas using, just your standard paper filters or higher end ones. I plan on firing my engine up for the first time next weekend. Im also running brad penn break in oil how long before I should change it out?

I don't recall if you put the in forward or reverse, but if the drill doesn't bog down within a few seconds of the drill being on, you're turning the wrong direction. When the pump starts pumping oil it puts resistance on the drill and it bogs down a bit.
As for the filters. I always used top brand filters, no off brands, mostly Wixs and Baldwin. Then I bought filters from a Olds dealer that was closing down. I have a lifetime of AC filters for my 442 after selling off over half of them.

I have a dummy dist, but I think you could use something that'll work in a drill and have a hex end to grab the oil pump drive. Counter clockwise. I use wix filters for oil. If I remember right, I changed it after break in, then again after driving it for a while.

All you need is a long drill extension with the right allen tightened into the end and a drill.
