This was done in the mid 70's by my father, the whole car still carries that 70s vibe. It seems a little strong, but i couldent change it.

Now I understand, when I bought my 65 442 which was my first car back in 1971 it had a fawn interior, I changed the interior to Black and added a red shag carpet. Now that brings back the 70's. Funny 44 years later I still have the car. I just pulled the motor yesterday but now it doesn't have a motor, interior or carpet. I'm probab;y going back to fawn with the brown carpet, no shag.

It had vega door panels, the rigid plastic ones, i changed them out for correct 64 panels, 67 GTO seats and console, still in it, i am looking for suitable 64 cores to recover. The seats came from a friend who wrapped his GTO around a flag pole in 1975. It had mixed aluminum slotted "Mags" on it,, station wagon springs (it didnt bounce and wheel hopped your teeth out of your head) an the rear so high, it was chest high on my 6'1" frame. I also nixed the cassette player and the CB radio and antenna. It took me a long time to make these changes, feeling more like a care taker than an owner, but i am now ready and willing to make changes that make me happy, without out ruining my 48 year relationship with the car.
