Yep, they are the Custom Deluxe steering wheel option. Like Bro said, just looks like wood, but not wood.
I will tell you, they are hard to come by and when you do find one mist people know what they have and they don't sell cheap. Another thing to keep in mind. These wheels can't be recast, Koch does not restore these steering wheels. They will run you, depending on condition, $600-$800 to have restored. I love these wheels and finally found one and will have it restored one day hopefully soon.

I have one of the steering wheels. The wood portion is in great shape. The other portion, gray on mine, has shrinkage and some cracks.
I think I will take on the repairs with POR putty. Trying to decide if I should pop out the chrome pieces separating the wood and Gray. Concerned I will damage the chrome pieces during the sanding process. I think I will be able to saw cut the slots for the chrome after the other parts are renewed. Thoughts? Going for Red, in the base color part.

My guess is that chrome piece is welded to the steel structure of the wheel, or is anchored in the plastic with a stud that us part of the chrome piece.

The chrome pieces pop off and reinstall.
