My 442 is in dire need of some new shocks.
What do you guys recommend? Monroe, Gabriel, Delco, KYB... Does it matter?

If you're not concerned about originality and just want a car that handles the road comfortably and reliability; I used QA1 Adjustable (Front) and Edelbrock IAS (Rear). Of course a good Shock can perform poorly if you don't have the right Spings. To this point, I've paired the Shocks with Hotchkiss Springs (Front and Rear). The overall combination has produced a ride quality that is comfortable on the highway and also on secondary roads. This also gave me great road control over uneven surfaces and through the Twisties at while at speed. The Edelbrock Shocks and Hotchkiss Springs has also given me great launch control at the strip. No Hops or Skips, just a solid reliable launch, where as the QA1 Shocks were also a good add on, as it allows me to adjust the dampening for road and/or track conditions, depending on my preferences.
Good Luck...
Ted

I have heard that Bilstein makes a good shock for our A-bodies.
