While I'm contemplating what I want to do, I thought I'd see if any of you had the two-wire harness that goes from the throttle switch to the pigtail on the drivers side of the transmission for my '65 Cutlass. This is the harness for the kick-down and variable pitch solenoids. Mine has seen better days. I'll also check the usual places for a new one, but I don't mind a used one if it's still in good shape.

I have several of those throttle wires. I will check them out and send you a PM. Not sure what they are worth but we can figure out something. Let me know if you found another one or don't need one after all.

Thanks Gary. They are probably worth more than I want to spend. Although I like using "factory correct" stuff when I can, it's not essential since my car is a hot rod, not an original car. And since I splice in an override switch mounted inside the center console glove box, I got to thinking why pay for a new or nice used, only to modify it by splicing in another wire.
In the past, I had just used one of those quick connects to tap into the VP wire, but over the years that connection obviously degraded the wire substantially. So for now I've just made a complete harness that includes a third wire for the console switch. Does it give me that "factory look" I like to have blended with a lot of my "not factory" stuff? No, but it'll definitely serve its function.

Sorry it so long to get back to you but I have a couple of spares of the original wiring set for the switch pitch-the two wire set with factory connections. Twenty bucks plus the ride is the price-not bad I think. Wires are good, flexible and connectors are correct and good shape. Just let me know.
