Have a couple of factory remote control mirrors that I don't have the inside control knobs for. Am wondering if there are any out floating around that need a new home. They are about 3" tall and 2" wide(oval shape) with the joystick in the middle. They have "up" stamped on the surface above the joystick. Most guys don't know how to take them apart and that's why the ones I have found are missing that part. Anyway, if you guys know of any, let me know. Thanks.

Might have one, will look. You interested in off loading one of the mirrors ( provided it's in good shape). If so email me a picture. I've got one that's a bit beat up and another off a 65 GTO.

mine need some work and am trying to figure out how much they are worth-both " as is " and if re-chromed and fixed up. The one is not too bad, other one needs some help. Drop me an email and I will send some pics. Anybody know what these remotes are actually worth. Don't see them very often, so I've been grabbing them whenever I see one. Got a nice one on the car and it works and looks great. They are kind of a hassle to deal with since you have to partially disassemble them to install.

I bought a couple extra remote mirrors for two reasons. One was a hope of finding a really nice one that was not pitted and would be a good candidate to rechrome. And the possible, but probably not, one that was so nice I could bolt it right on and go. I got the first one, but not the second one. Actually the second one that was described as near perfect was not, and not even as good as the one I got to rechrome. On the price, that's a mystery. I have a gorgeous NOS remote mirror for a 65 or 66 full size. I know for sure it fits a 66 full size, but I'm not sure if it fits a 66 Cutlass/442. I tried selling it on eBay for $125 including shipping and it didn't sell. I thought that was very fair. So I don't know what a rechromed or perfect remote for a 65 Cutlass/442 would sell for.

Thank you for the input. I was sorta collecting them also, figuring that they would get hard to find and nobody did repops. Had a pretty nice one-not show quality-that I put on the new car and not sure what to do with these-I guess just hang on to it til something happens. I know some of the old main stays around here have things they have been hoarding for decades-hahaha.
