Those of you that have converted at some point to a TH400, how have you addressed the fitment of the emergency brake cable? Since the transmission cross member is located in a different spot, this affects the routing of the rear cable loop. If I route the cable under the cross member, the cable hangs too far (in my opinion), and I run into driveshaft interference if I route the cable between the cross member and the body pan. My most recent solution has been to zip tie the cable on the front driver's side of the cross member, so that the cable won't droop, but we all know that is half-assed.
My set up only uses one parking brake cable side hook to retain the rear cable loop (inserted in a hole on the rear passenger side of the cross member). Does it make sense to add a second hook on the drivers side? Or maybe drill a new hole farther outboard on the passenger side?
I'm doing my best to describe this... but you could have just read through all this and be thinking... WTH?

Hopefully joe will chime in and correct me if I am wrong from my understanding in 67 th400 was a option so you buy the intermediate cable with a 1967 cable for a T400 trans

If it were my car, I would add a second loop/hook to keep the cable from drooping.

Same ones also work for a 200-4R since it uses the same crossmember location as the TH400. The rear cables from the backing plates are the same for all transmissions.

Awesome! Other than now I need to go buy a new intermediate and front e-brake cable.

That probably explains why my e-brake cable is so loose !! I'll add that to the million or so things I have yet to correct on this endless project.

I'm digging up this old post to tap into the VAST knowledge of our members. Has anyone installed the '67 front parking brake cable assembly (to accommodate the TH400 crossmember location) with the car already put together? The routing of the cable goes through the frame, and pushes through the firewall behind the inner fender liner, making direct access impossible. If any of you have done this, what approach did you use to get access to make the swap? Did you have to remove the fender and wheel well?

Coming up empty on this question huh? Sorry, but the only times I've ever done this have been with the front end off the car (for other reasons). I realize that's not helpful to you.
