My 442 and my Cutlass vert have the top of the fender butted up against the A pilar, with no gap at all. On my post coupe when I painted it, there was no gap at the fender and A pilar, but I could not get the fenders tight against the A pilar again.

I think spec was .06 from fender to a piller I think the biggest problem is both front fenders came from two differ cars and I think they were off a four door not that there really different but specs back then I don't think they were consistent. The left fender has like the ski jump were the fender meets the cowl and lower window channel that I need to adjust with some brut force

A lot of people complain how expensive quality body and paint work us, but they don't really understand the man hours that go into a job like this. You can go over and over a panel when doing the bodywork only to find several spots that need more attention after your done block sanding, it's can drive you nuts.

Very true this car has about 400 hrs in her I know a lot of those were me learning. I am sure we will miss some things but a quality paint job is what I am after, I thought I would of skimmed with glaze to fix the few highs and lows but my budy said no metal finish it. I was to nervous to even try so he came out and metal worked it.

Youre getting there. If it was mine Id have welded up the two small emblem holes in the fenders. With the added 442 scoops the fender badges need to go.

On the fenders, I really like the v8 badge and this is a clone so I decided to leave them as a clue that this is a clone that way if I ever sold it there was a visable flaw, I really struggled with it tho as it might be to much if it is I can go back and fix it
