I wondered what happened to that car and thought maybe one of the forum members picked it up. Glad to see it was you, Shane. Nice to have a rust free west coast car. Are you planning a 4-speed conversion or just drive it as is once the interior is finished? I am sure you were delighted to find out the 400 was still in the car.

It's very nice to have a west coast car. As for the 4 speed I was thinking that but the wife wants me to leave it an auto . She has plans on driving it. I was very surprised it has it original 400 still . Car has 186000 miles on it , former owner wasn't sure when the engine was rebuilt.

Sweet!
You still livin' in Ohio, or have you moved to the west coast yet? I know that was in your plan... just not sure when.

I love it. Red On Red with white headliner and sail panels, same as my build however mine is missing the paint. Good luck on this one, she looks to need alot less work than the last one. On the other hand wouldnt it be great to teach the wife how to drive a 4-speed. LOL Think of her sitting at a stop light next to a rice grinder with a coffee can tail pipe, then coming home and filling you in with all the details on how she smoked em after 2nd gear. My wife was driving mine one time around the neighborhood with no bumpers, taillights or turn signals on it.

Pulled the valve covers off to clean them up. Bigger project then it should be. They have 6 layers of paint on them. Good news is the heads look clean.
