need to know how to paint the black into the letters on dash tried painting with brush & then wiping with rag didn't work so well whats another way I'm pretty handy & good at little things like this chust need some advise thanks

I know we've had a discussion on this before. Of course you could always check Jasen's and Bro's websites, I know it's on there.

ok not to sound to stupid so i paint the letters with black paint have a rag ready with something on it and immediately rub the flat surface and try to keep from rubbing out paint in letters right so i dont think i want the paint to sit there very long

Yes, just as you described. And to be clear, you want to use a wax or grease remover like Jasen said. Some stuff will take paint off too so do a test with the dash paint you used to be sure the remover won't remove your silver paint.

i surprised myself i painted the dash left it in the car took most of a day but having a convertable helped needed to mask hole care for over spray but i am real pleased with the out come will post pictures in a couple days thanks for all the help

I am new planning the same project soon. Did i get it right, you let paint dry then, cleaned flat surface carefully and it worked?

you paint the letters with black paint then i used goof off on a clean rag like old white tee shirt as soon as i painted them i wiped them off before it dried some times you wipe out some of the black paint then you just try again until you get were you want it
