WTF? Works just fine, but that just doesn't seem right. Is the speaker a special size that I just can't go buy one from "the store" and replace this one?

Not trying to get all involved, but, if your using your "stock" radio, you CAN NOT use just any speaker that fits the hole.
Research it

Looks like that heat didnt just cook your turn signal blinker. Nothing wrong other than the rubber gasket has melted away.
After I had my stock radio converted to AM/FM I used two small speakers instead of the stock one. Now I have much better sound, which still sucks btw.

Did you find a piece to fix your blinker housing yet?

If you're using the stock radio, the 4x10 dash speaker needs to have a 10 ohm impedance. Anything you buy in the store is going to be a 4 ohm impedance. Normally this would be a problem for the amplifier in the radio(run hot and burn out), not the speaker, so I'm not sure why it would melt the rubber gasket. The low impedance of the 4 ohm speaker pulls too much current from the amplifier, thus frying the amp. This place sells the correct speaker: www.turnswitch.com

Did you find a piece to fix your blinker housing yet? Still looking for the housing(s). Shane has gone through most of his stock, and said everyone is decaying.

After I had my stock radio converted to AM/FM I used two small speakers instead of the stock one. Now I have much better sound, which still sucks btw. Honestly I'm guessing that's what has happened to whatever that sealant is that they put around the speaker. Everything still works (as wonderful as the factory AM radio is). And I suppose worse case I can just mount that speaker back up, since the damage only seems to be "cosmetic". But while I have the dash out of the car, and am freshening everything up, I should look to see what my options are. 1. I will look over the website looney suggested. 2. So Ramz, did you just wire together two 4 ohm speakers? I'm not a "speaker guy", but I assume doing so "creates" an 8 ohm speaker. And is that enough to keep the factory AM radio from frying its brains? Obviously with the AM I'm not really going for sound quality here... but just researching my options.
