took the 65 out for run yesterday and found the gen light on so checked alternator and found it not charging so i bought a new one that one was old any way so i installed it and it still wasn't charging so i bought a new voltage regulator and its charging but the regulator is buzzing so i took it back for a new one and this ones buzzing so i had another beer went back in and finished watching the game so trying to think about it all knight what do you think any input would help me i hate electrical problems thanks in advance

Is it possible they gave you an internally regulated alternator or a faulty one. I would have it tested. Also what brand VR did u purchase?

its a borge warner made in america it's the second one i.m going to switch it out today to another brand and see what happens

I have heard that wells is a good brand . I have no experience with there products tho.
How did you determine the old alternator and the new one was not charging ? And Changing the voltage regulator caused the new alternator to put a charge out.

went and bought a generic regulator seems to have solved my problem thanks for the input
