Ok guys its time I replace my radiator. Im looking for aftermarket or original look a likes. Im on a budget for a part like this but also need it to pretty much be a bolt on installation since me and my wife will be welcoming our first child into this world in august. I still have money for oldsmobile but it will be cut back a little. Any and all leads will be greatly appreciated. I just dont know what would work best for a 400 engine other than what summit and sites like it tell you.

It would need to be recorded and also welded due to a leak on the lower hose connecting shaft. I had never looked into repair not knowing if its worth it.

Back in 96 i had a 4 core recored for the 68 olds it was $75 back then. not sure what it would cost today but I'm sure its still cheaper then new.

Thanks for the input. I can deal with 200 to have mine fixed, however 500 is i little steep right now.

my neighbor is a rad guy, ive had two four cores done by him and both over $600. that was the neighbor buddy price. otherwise a $800 rad. he cant compete now with the plastic and aluminum rads you can get over the counter for $180

I'm running a Champion CC284 aluminum in mine. I did lot of research before buying it, I am really pleased with the fit and finish. You should be able to pick up one for 210.00 - 250.00 new!

Here in Albuquerque I reuse the original tanks and the local shop orders a new high efficient 4 "ROW" CORE, less than $400 complete job. Done it for all my cars.
