What year book do you have? My March of 68 parts book shows those #s for 68 400s but 66-67 400s the right is 389268.

My book is dated April of '77. Original p/n was probably superseded.

The '65 thru '68 manifolds are identified with the X (left) - W (right) alpha code, The '69 model year used the X (left) - Y (right) alpha code. And of course the '70-'72 used the W (left) - Z (right) alpha codes.
The '65 thru '68 part numbers are; 39321-(left) — 398706-(right)
The '69 part numbers are: 403003-(left) — 402294-(right)
The '70-'72 412287-(left) — 402294 (right)
My parts book is a June 1974 date.

'68 used the "Y" code on right side, '69 started the "Z" code. In '73 they went back to "X" on the left side and kept "Z" on the right side.

Thanks for the fine info. What I found out is the right manifold fits 65 to 68 with the same part #. The left fits 65 to 67 with the same part# and 68 is a different part #.

I have the correct numbered exh manifolds on my convert 442, but there is no X and W. Does not appear to have rusted away. I think mine are early production.
