Anyone got pictures of what all goes where the chock tube is and how thats supposed to look? Ive got two holes but one chock pipe so whats up??

Anyone got pictures of what all goes where the chock tube is and how thats supposed to look? Ive got two holes but one chock pipe so whats up?? one pipe is correct. I can get some pics later when I venture out. I think there`s a few different designs, one with a filter, one without.

I know, I just don`t feel well enough today to be my normal ass. The one pipe from the heat stove in the manifold, to the choke housing is the vacuum pipe, it draws outside air thru the heat stove to the choke housing to heat the spring, to relax the choke plate. It works with the piston in the choke housing that is also vacuum assisted. Use care with mounting gasket on choke housing to carb, vacuum port holes are quite small, and vacuum passage ways in carb plug up easily. I`ll get some pics for you

I won`t get in to the function of anything, just pics and my thoughts as to why the two different styles. I believe the UN-filtered style is probably early. IMO, once it was realized the lack of filtered air quickly contaminated the inner workings of the choke housing, the filtered style came to be. The filtered style worked well, but few were ever serviced, consequently the filter would plug up from oil vapor and dust/dirt rendering the system inoperative. The choke stove was a common culprit in the day, plugged filter normally meant burnt tube in the exhaust crossover because of the lack of air movement to cool the tube. O,K, that`s enough chatter, I get criticized for talking too much, like a smart ass, and still again when I skip over things not wanting to treat people like kindergarteners. That`s my medicated rant for the day, all you wanted was pictures. If you need any more info or pics, please don`t hesitate to contact me. Hello, posts' second pic (unfiltered version) is the correct factory configuration. That goofy looking air filter Olds Pt.#397753 Grp.3.603 is listed as a Field Fix for all 65 Olds 2brl. v8s. Not that it won't work on the 4brl versions it's just not factory correct.
