So is shelling out $45 for an entire new switch the only way to get my turn signal to cancel again? I see Fusick offers an $8 cam for 68-74s but only an entire switch for 65s.
Any other options?
thanks eric

thanks eric Take off your steering wheel and check. There is a replaceable cam on one version for 65. There are two versions of a 65 TS switch and I'm pretty sure one is replaceable and one isn't, but I'm not positive. There are cams available for 65's, I see them on eBay all the time. I know I have one around here somewhere. I will try to find it to get a picture of it and get some part numbers. I'd bet a good NAPA store could find one, or even might have one hanging on their blister pack rack.

There are two switches, both are replaceable. One has a replaceable bearing and the other does not.

so, how do i know if i have the type in which i can replace the cam without replacing the whole switch? Eric: I wrote myself a note a long time ago that I keep around that only says; "one is stamped "Guide", the other is not. Sometimes the non stamped unit is white plastic and the Guide is blue plastic". However, this note was written at a time when you could still go to the corner auto parts store and buy these TS's over the counter for a 65 Olds. I'm not sure the restoration warehouses have info like this. That said I took a look at my Fusick's catalog for the heck of it and they list two switches for a 65 (actually 3 counting tilt wheels). From the Fusick's catalog; D6203 Turn Signal Switch (stamped Guide) 1965-66 without tilt wheel D6200 Turn Signal Switch (BPC metal housing switch) 1965-66 w/o tilt wheel There is another listing in the catalog that peaked my interest; D6211 Turn Signal Switch (Delco white plastic) 1967-68 all That last listing kind matches my note, one stamped Guide and one that is a Delco, one white and the other blue maybe? I can't say for sure the only TS I have purchased recently has been for my 442 which has a tilt wheel which is a totally different switch.

The common switch is the BPC (Boyne) switch, and it has the sealed bearing.

Eric: Roaming around eBay and came across this; tinyurl.com/nv9e8kNot a bad price either, especially compared to this one; #260314482167
