Hi gang. So I'm in Colorado this weekend working on the vert. Plan is to drive it back to the Midwest but I cannot get the wipers to work. I do not have my electrical diagrams with me and think the wires are connected to the switch incorrectly. It is a 2 speed switch. There are three wires. One is white, one green and one black with a purple strip. Need to know which way these wires attach to the prongs on the switch. Thanks. If that doesn't work, there must be a bigger problem.

Perfect Shane. I found a 65 diagram on the forum but it was no help. This one should do the trick. If not, I will resort ot testing the motor as described by Postcar earlier this June. Thanks again.

I took it apart to redo the dash when I lived in San Francisco and then never reconnected the wires. Now I cant remember which goes where. . Shanes diagram should help but a photo would help as well there r three prongs and three wires.

Im sorry I mis-read your original post any way top left is blk/purple, bottom left is solid blk, and right side is blue. at least it will give you the location of your blk/purple wire.

Thanks Shane and xtreme, I will let u know how things turn out. I've been working on the tilt steering wheel blinker switch. What a pain in the ass. I know people like tilt but these switches suck. If they r not positioned correctly the brake lights and running lights get all f'd up.

For years and years you had to repair them or try and find an NOS one which was rare as hens teeth.

Warhead Do have a 2 speed switch you can work with? If so On Bros how to page it tells you how to reassemble them. I bought a new chevy switch (65 chevelle 2 speed) and used the contact plates and springs in it in my olds switch now my switch feels firm and like new. hope this helps.
