Had me a good laugh at this. Wish I would of met the kid driving it I would told him to clean the windows off those kind of times are nothing to be advertising. STK 17.80, Ford sure knows how to make them fast and affordable.

...and it would still beat the 383 Charger they "restored" on that Desert Car Kings show. LOL My 1978 250 1 bbl Nova was faster than that charger, it ran 18 sec 1/4's. "Anything less than 20 seconds is respectable" LMAO

Had a 57 chevy wagon with a blue flame six that ran 18:99. Bone stock, well, we did take the air cleaner off. Sure isn't sayin' much for the Mustang.

I had a 4-cyl S-10 that would do a 17.2. Also, let's hope that is for a 1/4 mile, lol.

Careful, don't dog all Mustangs cause you won't be able to run faster than this one, stock 662 HP with 631 FT LB of torque. 11.6 in the quarter mile from the factory, most HP in a production car ever, stock.

Careful, don't dog all Mustangs You don't even need the bad boy Mustang to put a whoopin on some older cars, my stock 2012 V-6 Mustang will embarrass a stock 400 "A" body in the quarter.

my stock 4 door sedan Toyota with 4 cylinder pulled 16.3 in the quarter. I didn't advertise my time when I left the track I thought my car was a pig. But when you see a mustang with that kind of a time. I about fell over laughing when I had seen that in the parking lot.

That car really doesn't deserve to be made fun of, pay close attention, its a 6 cylinder, and probably an auto on top of that, up until lately the mustang 6 cyl cars did not run very strong at all, and an auto slowed them down tremendously. The thing to commend the guy on it that he is racing an american 6CYL, and not some coffee can rattle trap with a huge wing and neon lights. I have had bone stock 5.0 cars 1987-1992 running 13.20's-13.40's and that was a car that made 225 hp from the factory. My last Foxbody, was a 331 with a 10 lb procharger and it ran 10.30's driving it to the track with the air on running pump gas. My buddy has a 2012 5.0 bone stock that just ran 8.20's in the 1/8 on stock street tires.

Never been a Ford Fan. Okay there are some Mustangs over the years that are nice, maybe a Gran Torino or two. Last week I rent a car for business (NY to Delaware and back). My wife drops me off at Hertz, and right in front is a brand new Mustang GT. She says "maybe you'll get that? I laugh of course and say no way, we're required to rent a cheapo compact or midsize, not a specialty car. So the girl (extremely hot) goes to get my car. I ask what kind and she says a Mazda 5 (I have no idea what that is). I see her drive it around and I'm thinking "no way am I driving that death box to delaware." She walks in and says "I can't give you that crappy car, I'll give you a free upgrade". We have a Chevy Tahoe or Mustang GT. Needless to say I grab the Stang. She tells me she had it all weekend and its a blast. After a week in that car I was smiling ear to ear. Not only was it FAST, effortless, and smooth, it had one great muscle car sound. Hats off to the guy who designed the exhaust. Here it is.

And that's really not the fast one, that's like two steps and 250 HP down from the fast one. And except for my Olds I am a Ford person.

Im 31 and I've owned a 1973 LeMans 350 auto,1986 Mitsubishi Mighty Max Pickup Truck Lowrider, 1987 Crew cab dual tank F150, 1996 T-bird, and last but not least a 1986 Mustang LX, I beat the living shit out of that stang , however in my eyes the only good thing to come out of ford is still and always will be the mustang. They will never stop making them cuz they sell,Id rather have a new CAMARO........

I don't care if its a ford mustang or a Chevy camaro if the auto manufacture wants to put a pig of a motor in a sports car and the individual that owns it wants to race it and advertise what a pig it is then it deserves to made fun of. Ford did finally correct the problem, there new 6 cyl does run low 14s and high 13s that is how a mass produced sports car should perform.

Oh yeah baby, this sucker screams! I thought my wife's '06 Mustang GT was fast, but drive one of these and it will make you crap your pants. I took one for a test drive and wanted it so bad, it was the opposite color combo of this one, blue with white stripes, one sweet machine.

Everyone has to start somewhere, I know several people that couldnt afford a V-8 car, and bought what they could, took it to the track and put forth their best effort, and a lot of those folks end up with faster V-8 cars. Maybe its all the owner could afford at the time. At least he is at the track instead of laid up smoking crack some where. I love to see younger folks taking interest in cars, racing etc no matter what they drive or how fast it is. Ford gave the V-6 as an alternative, less cost, better mpg, and TONS safer for those first time drivers and people not interested in performance, some people raced the V-6's but its tough to buy a nice later model V-8 car on a burger king salary.
