what is the correct timeing on a stock 65 400 meaning were on my timeing plate do i want my mark to be or close to sence i painted it and can't see old marks just a couple of notches i've timed by sound and feel and the mark is right about at the first notch above tdc is that close what do you think thanks

Make sure you disonnect your vacuum advance first and plug the port on the carb.
