i've always primed a motor with a drill does any body have a better way also i forgot do i go counter clockwise or clockwise with oil pump

Its been 20 some year since I've done this but I remember it being clockwise

Counterclockwise for Olds! Drill is fine. Believe 1/2" deep socket but been awhile.

Make sure when you prime it that you are getting oil through the pushrods and to all of the rockers. Sometimes this takes a few minutes.

everything went fine so far went counter clock wise and took a 5/16 socket on my air rachet and oil pumped every were not started yet maybe today after work starting a new motor is like haveing a new baby exciteing i think but i didn't tell my wife that
