are you speaking of the H chrome? (65) If you are speaking of the H - beltline stainless trim, they are supposed to be weld on studs that the 1/2 inch plastic clips slide onto with the ends being held on by screw on clips that bolt through the panels, fender, doors, quarters. There is a screw in stud that you can buy through autobody supply companies, which are Phillip screw in studs usually used to replace one or two after a repair, but can be used to replace or install them all. However, you are still screwing in a ton of studs. Eastwood sells a kit to properly spot weld them on and you can also use it as a dent puller system, or is it the other way around; a dent puller system that installs the trim studs? Either way, that's more costly, but a heck of a lot faster and permanent.

How many screws would it take to do the whole car? A package of 25 screws is only $5.

i saw those ones i kind of hoping to find some plastic snap in ones so would't have to screw all those in Oh, if that's the case then go to Restoration Specialties; www.restorationspecialties.com/, they have a ton of plastic push in trim clips like you are looking for. The H trim is 1/2 inch. Does your car have the H on the data tag or is it a Fremont car? I ask because it would be odd for someone to remove all the studs ten someone later to try and reinstall the trim back, but I am aware it's certainly a possibility.

It would probably take 4 bags to do a whole car, that's a guess. I haven't counted them, but there has to be at least 20 to 25 on the quarters alone.

Ditto that stan my parts car was the same way and if u look in the assembly manual it shows them with holes. My Cutlass vert has welded studs - Lansing car. I've parted two other Lansing cars with the H trim with the studs. Jim's is the first one I've seen with those s-clips for the whole car.
