I stumbled upon some laquer paint. the good stuff, in spray cans. We already did all of my metal interior in a semi gloss black and it turned out wicked, I re painted some engine brackets tonight in this laquer, after testing it out on some scrap metal, WOW knock your eyes out lookingg finish, looks like base clear finish, I am thinking about repainting all my interior metal, I am not interested in correctness, just a slick finish. I am wondering the opinion of the room?

My first car was a '56 Chev, and I did the dash and window surrounds that way, only gloss! After rubbing it out and waxing it - looked like a mirror, but could be a bitch on sunny days!!

If that is real lacquer paint you won't be able to paint it over any other enamel paint you already laid down on your interior. The lacquer will pull up the paint below and it will be a mess. You might actually like the krinkle finish if you can wait long enough for it to dry all the way. Of course, then it will just start flaking off.
Been there, done that!
