hey everyone, O.K i recently purchased a 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible, and I got to tell you guys, AIN'T no one has a Cutlass out here in Sunny California, I love my new ride and looking foward to completing it! NOW my question is, the convertible is a "F85" and I will be converting it into a "442" not a true 442 but like DAD say, "its your car do what you want!"
Does anyone or know how can i get a HOLE PATTERNS to drill the side scoops??? is there such thing as a dimension to drill the holes on the side of the cutlass??
Please advice, thanks much!!!

AIN'T no one has a Cutlass out here in Sunny California Not exactly true. There are plenty of '64s and '65s in California; however, Grant and I own most of them. Tell us where you are located. It will make helping you a little easier.

Do you have the side scoops? That's the hardest part. I am in downtown Los Angeles. I have a '65 442 sitting down here. You are welcome to come down and take measurements of where the holes are supposed to go, but you'll have to pull the scoops off. -grant

grant, nice!! i do have a pair of 442 side scoop. i purchase a while back. so im lucky!!! and as for hole patterns i don't mind taking them off for measurement... i would be emailing you for info.. but before anything... im only waiting to complete my rebuilt engine. which is soon. and from there its paint job!! and that's when i would need the patterns. Thanks Gran! is nice to see fellow Cutlass members out here in so-Cal!

If you have a car to use, after you remove the scoops you can make a template that will work great and I think is better than measurements.
Get a large sheet of paper, a single piece would be best, but you can also tape multiple sheets together. Make sure the sheet goes from past the door opening to at least 2 inches past the edge of the scoop and down past the lower body line. Tape the paper so it won't move and then take a pencil or a piece of drawing charcoal and rub it over the holes and the door opening and body line edges. Then you will have a perfect template to lay on your car with guide marks to line it up. Then you can center punch the holes and drill after you remove the template.
